Most every major muscle magazine has an article about a workout program or routine used by a former or current Mr. Olympia. Wouldn’t it be great if there was a safe and natural way to build more muscle in a shorter period of time? Bodybuilding shows in the 70s and 80s were different.
It used to be guys would train together at the gym, diet for a few weeks, and then take the stage at a local show, cheered on by family and friends. Everyone was proud of you – you were strong, healthy, and a good role model as one who took care of yourself.
Today, things are way different. Today, a stone cold natural will not place at any decent bodybuilding show (unless he’s a complete genetic freak).

Today, everyone seems to be following the buzz word – ‘lean and mean’ as the key to a successful life – both financially as well from the aspect of finding love! However, bodybuilding is not a pastime for people who pursue their career in sports that require a fit and muscular body as a necessary condition to participate. Toning up your muscles in order to gain weight, and thereafter, controlling them through exercising to get an ideal muscular structure is very difficult. When one talks of great backs in the history of bodybuilding, Lee Haney and Victor Martinez come to mind as two of the best. Both men were blessed with wonderful genetics and trained very hard, but they trained very intelligently as well. They both attested to the importance of using chin-ups, or wide-grip pull-ups, in their back routine. They knew this movement worked like none other, and the results that they saw were undeniable, and in the case of Lee Haney, still discussed decades later.
